Missions
Healing in Action. Dignity Restored. For Clitoraid, our Missions are where hope becomes tangible.
Each mission represents months—sometimes years—of preparation, trust-building, medical coordination, and community partnership. They are moments where women who were denied bodily autonomy are finally met with care, respect, and the opportunity to heal.
Through reconstructive surgery, psychological support, and education, Clitoraid missions restore more than bodies.
They restore dignity, confidence, and the right to feel whole again.
Our missions
around the world
Across Africa and beyond, Clitoraid has carried out medical and humanitarian missions in collaboration with local doctors, hospitals, and community leaders.
These missions are never imposed from the outside. They are built with communities—not against them—respecting cultural context while offering education, compassion, and choice.
The videos you see here capture real moments from past missions:
Quiet strength before surgery, relief after healing, and the powerful resilience of women stepping into a new chapter of their lives. Each story is different. Each outcome is life-changing.
Upcoming mission
Clitoraid will return to Kenya for a critical medical mission focused on restoring women affected by female genital mutilation (FGM).
This mission represents one of our most important efforts to date. Women scheduled for care have been waiting—some for years—for this opportunity. For many, this will be the first time their pain is acknowledged, their bodies treated with respect, and their healing prioritized.
Reconstructive surgeries performed by trained volunteer surgeons
Psychological support and trauma-informed care
Education and community engagement to support long-term change
Why these months matter
Every donation helps fund:
This mission is not about awareness alone. It is about action—about ensuring that every woman scheduled for care receives it with dignity and safety.
